June 19, 1952- April 21, 2012

Many of the students this year have been touched by what has been known as “The Bruce and Vickie Story.” It is a story of one couple’s true devotion to each other, as well as the ultimate definition of married love. It is the perfect example of how one’s physical appearance, which can change for a variety of reasons, has nothing to do with how much someone else loves you. It is a story that will never make the headlines because there is no scandal attached. It is simply a story of two people who loved each other through an illness. It is the story of watching an insidious disease derail their hopes and dreams of growing old together. It is a story of one man’s total devotion to the vow in sickness and in health. It is the story of one woman’s total devotion to her husband and child. No, it will never be a headline story…but it should have been.
Thank you dearest friend for allowing me to share your story with so many. I pray they will be keep the story as close to their hearts, as you will remain forever enclosed in mine.

Oh you are a delight! 300 kids, and 5 fantastic days! What a treat to meet and teach. I am really looking forward to seeing you again as 7th graders.

Mr. Ramsey deserves an award for coordinating 250 kids into the programming, and Mrs. Geiser deserves an award for being generous beyond words. Please keep the lessons learned in your heart. You all make the world a wonderful place to live in.
